Watering

Watering is the absolute most important step in having a green and healthy lawn. Your lawn requires a minimum of 1″ a week to keep it green and growing and may require up to 2″ a week during hot, dry weather. If you are unsure of how much water your lawn is getting, simply place a measuring device, such as an empty pie tin, out in the lawn. Once the water reaches 1″ (or whatever amount is needed), you know you’ve gotten enough water. Also important, is the time of day to water. It’s best to water early morning or in the evening. Avoid watering mid-day as the water will evaporate off.
